Updates on the Anti-Corruption Portal: the “Bookshelf”

A special section is now available on our Portal featuring a collection of books on corruption and anti-corruption.

The database currently includes more than 300 English-language scholarly and non-fiction works published between 2016 and 2025, as well as titles forthcoming in 2026.

The collection covers a very wide range of topics: it includes academic edited volumes and personal memoirs, books on specific investigations, efforts to understand the current situation and rethink approaches to anti-corruption, works on reforms in individual countries, and studies with broad geographical coverage.

To structure this diversity, the books have been tagged by country/region and topic. At this stage, users can filter books that are entirely or partially dedicated to one of 139 countries or one of 14 topics. Filtering by regions is also available – both in accordance with the UN geoscheme and through several other official and unofficial groupings of countries. For example, users can explore books that discuss corruption and anti-corruption efforts in the EU, MENA countries, LATAM, or the post-Soviet space. In the future, this classification is planned to be refined and/or expanded.

Each book entry includes links to the publisher’s webpage, as well as to its page on Amazon.
