In the Declaration adopted at the conclusion of the event, the participating countries reaffirmed their commitment to the principle of zero tolerance for corruption and their dedication to lead by example in the global efforts to prevent and combat corruption and related illicit financial flows. The leaders also pledged to:
- promote and strengthen integrity, accountability, and transparency, prevent conflicts of interests for the effective and efficient administration of the public sector;
- uphold fairness and justice and reinforce the implementation of UNCAC and other applicable international legal instruments;
- support the GlobE Network and other platforms, including by criminalising and countering foreign bribery;
- promote the active engagement with participation of civil society, academia, the media and the private sector;
- deny safe haven to corrupt offenders and assets obtained through corruption;
- enhance whistleblower protection mechanisms and note the relevant report prepared by the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group (ACWG).
A number of documents developed by the ACWG were also presented at the summit, including:
- High-Level Principles on the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets linked to Corruption. The document provides recommendations for the effective, transparent, and lawful management of seized and confiscated assets associated with corruption. The Principles include, inter alia:
- Developing and strengthening legal and institutional frameworks – ensuring the existence of legislation, procedures, and competent authorities necessary for the effective management of frozen, seized, and confiscated corruption-related assets;
- Transparency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness in asset management – developing transparent rules and mechanisms for the registration, oversight, and inventory of assets;
- Pre-seizure planning – ensuring prior assessment of risks and costs associated with subsequent asset management;
- Preservation of asset value – taking measures to prevent loss of value of seized property;
- International cooperation and knowledge exchange – strengthening cooperation among countries for training, exchange of experience, and development of guidance on asset management.
- Compendium of Good Practices on the role of Multi-Stakeholders in Preventing and Combating Corruption. The document summarizes G20 countries' experience in engaging government, business, civil society, the media, and academia in joint efforts to prevent and combat corruption.
- Report on Impact of Technical Assistance, Capacity-Building and Knowledge Sharing Initiatives for Asset Recovery. Based on surveys of countries receiving and providing technical assistance, the report examines the impact of technical assistance, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives on strengthening systems for tracing, freezing, seizing, confiscating, and returning assets.
- Accountability Report on Whistleblower Protection. The report presents the results of G20 countries’ implementation of the G20 High-Level Principles for the Protection of Whistleblowers adopted in 2019, based on their responses to a standardized questionnaire.
The 2025 summit took place without the participation of the Presidents of the United States, Russia, China, Argentina, Mexico, Indonesia, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia; the leaders of these countries (with the exception of the United States) sent representatives to the event.
