The resource contains information on 146 high-ranking officials ("tigers") and 1,316 lower-ranking officials ("flies") placed under investigation, expelled from the Party or convicted of corruption offenses since 2012. Interactive infographics allow tracking the personal and economic ties of the persons involved in corruption cases, as well as categorizing information about them by various criteria: geography, economic sectors, level of position, etc.
The online magazine ChinaFile, with the assistance of the Asia Society educational organization, has developed an interactive database, Catching Tigers and Flies, which provides insight into the scope of President Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign.
