France Hosts Regular OECD Integrity Week

The OECD Integrity Week took place in Paris (France) from 24 to 28 March 2025.

The event saw the participation of representatives of public bodies of the OECD member states, international and regional organisations, civil society and business community.

One of the key events of the Integrity Week was the OECD Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Forum 2025 (hereinafter, the Forum) held on 26 and 27 March. The main topic of the Forum was the use of innovative technologies, i.e. artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital forensics, to create new opportunities for addressing corruption, promoting integrity and enhancing law enforcement effectiveness. Additionally, the following issues were discussed in the Forum:

  • Galvanizing the private sector for integrity;
  • Tackling the demand side of foreign bribery;
  • Addressing illicit financial flows and de-risking;
  • Potential of the OECD Public Integrity Indicators;
  • Tackling corruption in the green transition;
  • Addressing strategic corruption;
  • Bridging the data gap to strengthen the fight against corruption.

The Integrity Week also included events focused on:

  • Public-private partnerships to promote integrity;
  • Leveraging artificial intelligence in anti-corruption compliance systems;
  • Addressing barriers to effectiveness of whistleblower protections;
  • Combating transnational bribery as a driver of environmental crime;
  • Challenges in multijurisdictional resolutions;
  • Uniting Europe in the fight against illicit financial flows Collaboration Lab;
  • Combating bribery solicitation from the private sector;
  • Collective actions as a tool to foster gender mainstreaming in anti-corruption, and other topics.

The OECD knowledge partner sessions organised by Transparency International, an international NGO, Basel Institute on Governance and others were centered on such issues as:

  • Empowering whistleblowers also with a view to strengthen their protections;
  • Lawyers as guardians against corruption;
  • Strengthening political integrity against undue influence in public decision-making and for responsible corporate lobbying;
  • Tackling opacity in real estate ownership;
  • Evolving role of gatekeepers;
  • Harnessing cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence to counter corruption;
  • Ensuring integrity during wartime;
  • Cutting-edge research on tackling corruption;
  • Anti-corruption collective action as an enabler for sustainable development.
