Payment of remuneration to an individual will be made in cases of:
- providing information, items and documents that contributed to the detection of a corruption offense;
- providing information on the whereabouts of a wanted person who has committed a corruption offense;
- providing information on the location of funds and other property obtained as a result of committing a corruption offense;
- assisting in prevention or compensation of damage caused by the corruption offense;
- providing other assistance to the criminal prosecution authorities relevant for countering corruption offenses.
Military personnel and employees of state bodies and other organizations involved in combating corruption, as well as participants in criminal proceedings, are not covered by the regulation. Remuneration is also not paid to persons who assist in the detection, suppression, disclosure or investigation of a corruption offence in which they participated.
The amount of payments depends on the gravity of the crime: up to 50 basic units for assistance in detecting a serious or especially serious crime, and up to Z0 basic units for a less serious crime. Compensatory payments of up to 10 basic units are also provided on the basis of documents confirming the expenses incurred by an individual (1 basic unit = 210 thousand Belarusian rubles, about 10 USD).
Remuneration and other payments are made by decision of the head of the prosecutor's office or his deputy on the basis of a petition of the criminal prosecution body.
