At the end of March, as part of the implementation of the Czech Republic's 2015 Anti-Corruption Action Plan, a draft law was prepared to expand access to the Electronic Library of the Legislative Process (eKLEP). At the end of April, the 10th meeting of the Czech Council of Ministers proposed new approaches to the formation of mechanisms to protect corruption whistleblowers from possible prosecution and dismissal. The basis of whistleblower protection will be the obligation of the employer to officially prove that the motive for dismissal or other sanctions against an employee is not the latter's activity as a whistleblower. At the same time, there are no plans to adopt a separate law on whistleblower protection; at this stage, it was decided to limit it to amendments and additions to the existing legislation.
Finally, another initiative concerns the extension of the obligation to declare income and property to employees of the prosecutor's office and judges, with the declarations to be made confidential: only the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court will have access to them.
