The meeting is attended by representatives of private companies, public sector, international and public organizations. The agenda includes the participation of the business community in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and anti-corruption, the role of whistleblowers and mechanisms for their protection, anti-corruption in doing business in emerging markets, ensuring transparency of beneficial owners of companies and some other issues.
Background : The Global Compact is a United Nations initiative aimed at supporting corporate responsibility. One of the Global Compact's activities is to improve public governance in three main areas: anti-corruption, peacekeeping and the rule of law.
